Covered boathouses and boat lifts that keep your boat out of the water and out of the weather.
Keeping a boat out of the water saves the hull, the bottom paint and a lot of cleaning. Dock It Marine builds boathouses and installs boat lifts, either as part of a new pier or added to the one you already have.
A boathouse or lift has to be planned around the boat, the water depth at the slip and how the structure ties into the pier. We work through those details before anything is built, then set the pilings and framing from the barge.
If you already have a pier, tell us about the boat you want to lift and send a few photos. We’ll let you know what the existing structure can support.

Can you add a lift to my existing pier?
Often, yes. It depends on the pier’s condition, the water depth and the boat. Send photos and the boat’s size and we’ll take a look.
Do boathouses need a permit?
Boathouses over tidal water generally need approval. Amanda handles the permit paperwork for our projects.
